I’m opening up some time for fractional consultancy, typically one day a week – to support growing businesses that need senior marketing input, but don’t need (or can’t justify) a full-time CMO.
Maybe you’ve got a solid marketing manager who just needs someone to bounce ideas off, get a steer from, and grow into their next level. Or maybe marketing decisions are getting more complex and generalist solutions aren’t cutting it anymore. You don’t need a big hire yet, but you do need direction. That’s where I fit in.
You get proper senior thinking without the overhead, someone who can help shape the strategy and roll their sleeves up. I’m not about long decks or big speak. I’m about making progress.
What I bring to the table:
- Clear, senior input on marketing strategy, grounded in commercial goals
- Hands-on help with execution: email marketing, website optimisation, UX, funnel analysis, and customer journey improvements
- Support and mentoring for your existing team, helping them build confidence, structure and momentum
- A bridge between marketing and the board/founders, translating between ambition and action
- Go-to-market plans for new products, propositions or services
- Positioning and messaging that actually makes the rest of your marketing easier
I’ve led and reshaped teams across the full marketing mix (content, performance, CRM, brand), and I know how to make things work in the real world, not just in theory.
Currently, I’m CMO and a board member at Northcoders PLC, where I work four days a week. I’ve previously held board roles in a five-agency group, and I’ve worked across a mix of B2B and B2, from launching consultancy brands and driving learner recruitment growth, to scaling ecommerce and travel businesses.
You might know some of the brands I’ve worked with: Pets at Home, EasyJet, Manchester City FC, University of Manchester, Swinton Insurance, Kellogg’s, and more. More recently, I helped lead Northcoders through 57% growth (£5.6m to £8.8m revenue) and broadened the business from one product to many.
I’ve worked with early-stage startups, scaling tech businesses and established corporates — and I know how to drop into a team, build trust quickly, and move things forward.
I’m based in Manchester but I work with businesses across the UK. Remote or in person, whatever suits.
If this sounds useful, drop me a message. Happy to grab a brew (real or virtual) and see if I can help.
